The ear candles used are made with only natural materials of the highest quality, using organic certified materials where possible. The essential oils used for different aroma ear candles are certified organic and produced in France by classic steam distillation (peel fruits, such as lemon are cold pressed) and are of therapeutic quality. How Does Hopi Ear Candling Work? The technique of Hopi ear candling is fairly simple. Here’s a step-by-step outline of how the process works: Preparation: The person receiving the treatment lies down comfortably, often on their side or stomach, with a towel or protective covering on their shoulder to catch any drippings from the candle. Candle Insertion: A Hopi ear candle is gently inserted into the ear canal. The candle is held upright at an angle to ensure that the flame burns correctly. - this can be the most uncomfortable part of the treatment. Lighting the Candle: The top of the candle is then lit while ensuring that the bottom remains securely in the ear. Vacuum Effect: As the candle burns, it creates a vacuum that purportedly draws out impurities, wax, and debris from the ear canal. Duration: The process typically lasts around 15-30 minutes per ear. After burning for a certain period, the candle is removed and extinguished safely. - usually burn for approximately 8 mins per ear Cleaning: After the session, the practitioner may clean the ear with a cotton swab to remove any loosened wax and debris.
