Reiki is an ancient energy-based healing system concerned with treating the person holistically through the placement of hands lightly on the body. The idea of Reiki is to channel universal energy throughout the body to assist with balance, peace, supporting your physical and emotional well-being. 


Reiki Healing may seem far fetched to some but if you are open and willing to explore the world of energy healing this is a wonderful treatment to start with. I am honoured to be able to offer such a calm and gentle treatment to individuals


In some ways, there is no typical Reiki session-no set protocol or length of time. Reiki can be administered by anyone who has training. Moments of touch from a Reiki-trained practitioner can bring comfort in an acute or emergency situation, such as the onset of the flu, or after an injury or surgery.  Reiki is used alongside other complementary and conventional treatments. 


A health interview will be conducted and consent form signed then an informal conversation about your current situation. You will then lay down and use deep breathing to relax your mind and body. Energy will be channelled to restore a healthy flow through the mind and body. 

Sessions will be tailored to the individual and the reiki given will follow some kind of routine but the energy will flow where it wants and as a practitioner you can be drawn to certain areas of the body more than others. 

Some people feel a warm or tingling sensation while others feel nothing. Even if you do not feel anything this does not mean your energies haven't been affected. Some people experience a energy detox during healing, this when negative energy quickly leaves your body. This can lead to difficult emotions being brought to the surface, as your therapist I shall be there to support you if this occurs. Some people will feel refreshed and able to think more clearly, others may feel more fatigue. These are not adverse reactions but rather the body's natural healing response. When the session is over you will be encouraged to ground yourself. and be given advice on ways to enhance the treatment and self-care. Individuals commonly report a reduction of pain, sense of calm, mental clarity and sleeping well after Reiki.

Reiki healing addresses the person as a whole - paying as much attention to your spiritual and emotional wellbeing as to your physical health. It is a non-invasive, relaxing, natural and enjoyable process
